Just googled an alternative number for a helpline and found an 0800 number. However, when I was connected, there was an announcement informing me of the cost - clearly the 0870 rates.
Do I assume I would still pay that, even though I accessed it through 0800?

Were you on a mobile, mine does that with some 0800 numbers?
I was shocked to see on my landline bill that 1471 3 was charged, I think 11p.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

No, landline. It's not happened before, was wondering if the call is diverted through to 0870? If that's even possible
I didn't know that about 1471 3!! Will look out for that, I often use it out of sheer ease. :eek:0
