negative feedback

my grandson has been taken out of school because of bullying and im now home schooling him, i was about to buy an educational book off a seller on ebay until i looked at his feedback, i was wondering how much negative feedback can you have before they stop you selling

  • There has to be a little perspective here...

86 negatives and 129 neutrals in the last 12 months out of 43,000 ratings? An overall score of 99.8% and 4.8/4.9 DSR's.

I wouldn't be put off about buying from this seller if they had something I wanted.

you could well be right but Im not going to risk it its important for me to get it right as my grandson is so behind in his school work thanks to the bullies, i cant afford to take the chance on being given the run around, theres lots more sellers out there with 43000 ratings or more with no where near as bad feedback as that

Most of those negs though are for the book being out of stock, so you have very little to lose by buying from them and if they are quick, getting an immediate refund so you cna buy elsewhere. Their feedback on Amazon is poor as well for the same reason.

I would probably still buy from them if they were a lot cheaper than others, but I would buy elsewhere if the prices were the same.

I'd only buy from this seller if they the price was much better than the competition and I really needed them item. This is the kind of seller you don't want to end up in a dispute with. Using this seller means there is an element of risk involved. You're basically taking a small gamble as to whether you waste your time or end up out of pocket for a while.

If you can't handle stock management or decent comms then don't sell 9k items per month.

With such an enormous turnover (8000 sales a month-ish) it looks like they're fine if everything is straightforward, but not much good at the personal touch if there are hiccups. They seem to give refunds happily though, they just don't get involved in apologies and the like!
