Barclays Monthly Saver maturing soon

Our regular savers matured on 28 Jan went into Branch in Taunton on 1 Feb at lunch time with passport, driving license and last statement, withdrew £6000 + interest in cash at the counter, no notice required, no delay and no hassle and walked up to Abbey to deposit in current account to move elsewhere.
At Abbey they would n't have given us anywhere near this amount of cash without notice so applause for Barclays. I certainly would look at them again for savings!0 -
Hi All,
I opened a Barclays Regular Saver in Feb last year and my 12th payment went in Jan This year. I went into the branch yesterday and was told that you have to wait 13 months before you can close this account. So I can go and request my money on 12th March 2010.
Does this sound right?0 -

No, it doesn't. See the T&Cs (underlining mine):3. Terms that apply after the Monthly Savings Terms
3.1 On the first anniversary of the date the account was opened we
will convert the account into the Barclays instant access savings
account specified in our interest rate leaflet and on our website and
the Monthly Savings Terms will no longer apply. When your account
is converted we will confirm the details of the instant access account
to you.
3.2 The instant access account will have no access restrictions.0 -

Is this on the Barclays website? If so would you mind pointing me towards it so I can go back and point it out to them.
I found it now.
Thanks for your help.0 -
No, it doesn't. See the T&Cs (underlining mine):
I opened my account on 18 Feb 2009 with the first payment coming off on the 27th Feb and around 27th/28th for the following 11 months-the 12th payment coming at the end of January 2010.
Interest was being credited on the last day of the month.
In the light of the above information on maturing accounts am I correct in thinking that my account will mature on 19th Feb and that I will only get the interest on the £3000 grand total up to 19th Feb and not the end of February as I was hoping. In other words I will not get 6% interest on £3k for a complete month0
