Ikea discount

Hi We are doing our first house up and have very scant funds available but we need some items from ikea. Not sure if anyone here has asked this before but I wondered if anyone had a staff discount we could use as we are desparate to save pennies? Or, if not, has anyone successfully managed to negotiate off any money when purchasing a few items together? Any help would be apprecaited (ps. our local branch is Wembley, North London). Thanks

Use eBay: most IKEA items turn up second hand on there pretty regularly, especially in London.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Have you signed up for the family card? That can give discounts too on certain items

Hi
Yes, tried ebay over the last 2 months and the items we want haven't been listed and also got their family card which is greta for teas and coffees but no discount on the dining room table we were after..which is a bit strange for a 'family' card....was still after a bona fide genuine discount to make the pennies stretch as far as possible!0 -
Hi,
I have very rarely seen Ikea provide discounts. They did a few years ago when they had been trading 21 years in the UK (21% discount) and over christmas if you bought a gift card you got back 10% of its value. Other than the family card its unlikely you will get any other discounts.
Make sure you check out the damaged corner in every store. You can pick up some bargains there as long as you can take them away there and then and usually fully assembled.
Good look in getting a dining table!

Or think about it and come up with another plan for the dining table - one involving selecting legs and then an appropriate top?
Or grit your teeth and make do with the £20 dining table, buy a £10 tin of Briwax and replace it when you have more money.
IKEA is one of the best places for furnishing a home on a budget, but if you can't afford the better stuff, I sympathise, but you'll have to settle for the cheaper ranges.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
