Hi, hope someone can help
Does anyone know if it is possible to find out who currently insures a property or has done in the past.
We are trying to find out about insuring a house we want to buy that has been underpinnned in 1991 (is a repo so no info)
Any ideas?

Can't see how you could fiind out. Even if you knew who, they wouldn't give you info as not your account. If you want to buy it, you would need to get your own survey done. Pretty sure that is all you can do.0

Already head a full survey done (and mortgage valuation) and oddly it didnt even identify that it had been underpinned. Just said their had been historical movement.
Only discovered it when we saw the planning permission on the local authority search. ironically if i hadn't queried it we would not even have known it was 100% underpinned:eek:0 -
well i would let others who want to do the same research as you and i would keep quiet if it was me.....0
