Is there any difference between kitchen and bathroom tiles?

We are looking to re-tile our bathroom and have seen some tiles we like, but on one website (with the best price) they are listed as kitchen tiles.

This might be a really stupid question but is there any difference between kitchen and bathroom tiles?

I cannot think of any difference but would appreciate any response before ordering them.

What size are they? Tiny tiles (10 x 10 for example) don't really work in a bathroom. If you like the colour/pattern go for it - why not?

  • The tiles are 20cm x 10cm

My only concern is that the tiles are listed as bathroom tiles in most places but a website with a significantly lower price has them listed as kitchen tiles.

Sure they are exactly the same - particularly from a quality perspective? Doesn't matter really if they are. Go for it.

I got my bathroom tiles from the kitchen section in the shop. Which didn't bother me at all until I saw the exact same ones adorning the local kebab shop!:D
