Oooh send me a pic of it please Franny, I've not got Sians dress yet!

Steve got me the Cosmo brides mag the other day and there was a dress in there Sian liked, which was from Tammy and was £22!! I thought OMG what a bargain, went on the BHS/Tammy site and it was reduced to £7.80! NEarly had a heart attack at how cheap it was but they didn't have her size, typical!

If I don't see anything beforehand, we're gonna look in the July sales in Coast and Debenhams etc, see if we can get her something then, but the way it's going, her dress is gonna cost more than mine!:rotfl:

    PM sent! :D
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

im actually having 3, but thats because they are the people i want, not because i felt i needed too, they are my sister and two nieces and they are the people i am closest too apart from OH. i thought i wanted to have friends etc, but when it came down to it, i didnt want to waste money, and as it turns out, the person who i thought was my closest friend in the world, now 6 months later is not so much of a friend anymore, and ive read so many times on here about the stress of having friends and who do you include and who dont you??? some of my other friends have just offered to help with things and thats nice because those who want to be involved are. At the end of the day, getting married is about putting an extra stamp on your position as a family, so it is perfect to just have your daughter - my sister only had her two daughters. think how wonderfully special she will feel, and even more so when she is an adult and can look back.

Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...
  • I'm not having any bridesmaids. It's only a small wedding and I'm the sort of person who's better just getting on with stuff on my own or with DF!

I'll have to find someone to lace my dress, but apart from that it'll be easier and less hassle.

Plus, I have more closer bloke friends than female friends.
  • I'm only having one bridesmaid, who will be 33 when we marry. My sister didnt really want to be bridesmaid but we had already decided to ask my best friend as if we asked my sister then would have to ask step kids!
Married my wonderful husband 29th May 2011
  • I am having 2, my 2 best friends. Out of the 30 guests who will be at the ceremony, there would be 5 under 4's and a 9 year old- all of whom's parents have hinted about flowergirl/pagesboys! I decided that I couldnt deal with 5 wee ones, and the cost of the outfits, shoes etc, so told them all there would be none! My bestest friends 9 year old daughter was heartbroken that she wouldnt get to be a flowergirl, so have found her a special job - she is a really good singer, and goes to theatre school, so when we are singing the register she will be either singing a song, or reading a poem. She is properly excited about it - as I told her that anyone could be a flowergirl, but not anyone could be a wedding singer!!

I'm having 1 :j Originally I wanted 2 - my two sister in laws (one on each side of the family) but one decided she was too old to be a bridesmaid and wouldn't feel comfortable (she's in her 40s). So I have my sister-in-law who I was bridesmaid for last year.

I thought about asking my best friend, but she is too unreliable. I love her to bits but if we arrange to meet up or go out she'll be late, or cancel last minute. So I thought rather than have the hassle and upset of organising her I'll have my one super-organised bridesmaid (who's helpfully been through all this before) and enjoy the day

I'm in the middle of a mega debate with myself as to wether I want 1, or none at all. Can't deceide...
