Not getting a refund

I recentley bought a Xbox 360 Elite. This was to upgrade my premium Xbox and I needed to swap the data over from the old hard drive to the new one.
To do this I need a special lead that Microsoft only sell. I bought one from the customer helpline for £11.54 on the 19th December 2009. About two days later I found out I could use my mates after initially been told I could not by Microsoft. I rang up Microsoft with my order number to cancel. I got told a refund would be issued back to my card.
I am still waiting. They rang me up today telling me they had my order details but had no card details to refund them back on to. They asked me to confirm my last 4 numbers which I did and got told I may need to wait 28 days now for a refund.
Any advice here on what I can do?
I know its only £11.54 but its mine and they obviously cancelled the order as I never had the cable.
Cheers

Under the Distance Selling Regulations they have a maximum of 30 days from the date that you tell them you do not require the goods to refund your money. Informing them should normally be done in writing of some medium, but I think you have good grounds still if they are accepting that you cancelled via phone. I would remind them of their obligations under the DSR and that they are now outside of the 30 days they are legally allowed.0

I have been told basically tough. Even when I mentioned the DSR and I got to wait for my refund0

Couldn't you just swap the hard drives over?Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
If the elite's got the bigger hard drive, it's better to transfer from the smaller hard drive to the larger one.0
