Food shopping question

i am interested in finding out when everyone does their food shop as in weekly, fornightly, monthly etc. Do you think it is the most cost effective for you to shop at the time you do? :D

me and my housemate do one big shop at the end of the month and then do mini top ups when we need the likes of bread, milk, ham etc
