Restore using factory.wim

hi, I have a dell dimension c521 which I want to restore using the factory.wim file on the 
\ recovery drive.
Does anyone have any hints or tips or know any good instructions on line?

normally CTRL and F11 as the PC boots gives you access to the restore menu, see page 56

on some later ones it was F12 to access a repair menu and it was on there , but the manual indicates the aboveEx forum ambassador
