Please could someone tell me how to scan a pen drive.
My daughter has been coming home from school and plugging her pen drive thingy into our new PC, and i am worried/terrified that she may introduce a virus onto our computer, as the school has been having problems. She needs to do work on the PC so i can't just say NO, so is there a way of scanning this thing for virus's before she starts to open files etc.
I have Avira anti-virus, and zone alarm running, can i use these to scan with please.
I have XP sp2.....many thanks....

Avira should scan it automatically on access, but you can scan any drive using avira, right click on drive in explorer.
Disabling autorun/autoplay also helps prevent infections

Sp2 is out of date, should be sp3 by now.!!
