Think I was sold a faulty new bulb at Euro Car Parts

Make sure none of the contacts are corroded anywhere. Especially if you left anything disconnected for a bit. You can get a spray can called electrical contact cleaner which may help if this is the cause. I would expect them to replace it though.0

Have you tried swapping it on the side that works, and put the working bulb into the side that currently doesn't work?
You can also use a bit of wire, identify which bulb terminal is negative & rest that bulb terminal directly onto the battery -tve terminal and clamp a bit of wire into the battery +ve terminal clamp and connect the end of the wire to the other terminals on the bulb one by one. If you want to do it more professionally you will need a mini crimp fitting on the end of the wire suitable for the terminals.0
