I have had a lovely time 'off' but I have to admit that I have not FAFFED once in the passed two weeks - the shame of it. Most nights were moderate drinkies but I did have a few blow outs followed by nasty hangovers.
It would appear that I am incapable of saying no to a drink that is offered by someone other than my spouse.

I was the same, though normally I wouldn't even say no to the wife (ex)

I think for me it was my alcoholism - it wanted me to drink, and it wanted me to feel ok about drinking because someone was offering it to me.
It gave me an excuse (like I needed one) and somehow legitimised my drinking (as I couldn't say no to someone could I?)

Just driving back from hairdressers and I had to stop at a zebra crossing to let a person in full gorrilla costume cross the road, he even waved thank you.....does this have the same effect as a black cat crossing your path *confused*
