I am trying to manually forward two ports for emule. I have used 'simple port forwarding' program to first assign my computer a static IP, which it has done no problem. When I check to see if the ports are open, using my computers IP they are. However if I go on the internet, my IP changes (so in my CMD, the IP is which is the IP assigned to the two newly added ports) but online it is ), and so the ports become unreachable. I cant seem to find any way around this and have already had to reset my router once...any advice?

In your router you need to specify the IP address on your private network i.e.192.168.0.1 if that was your PC IP address for example, most routers you need to specify the transport type i.e. TCP or UDP and the port number, once this is set up those ports will be visible on the WAN (Internet).
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Word of warning please edit this post to change other than 89..... to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx otherwise you will find your router being bombarded with portscans etc from all over the world ... Especially you have static address
