My daughter is at school and i work 4 days a week. I have had someone to collect her on the 3 days i work full days but the person collecting her has been offered longer hours at work so i need to arrange after school.
I am going to need to put her in 3 evenings a week and then during the holidays for 4 full days(they dont do half days for the day i do half)
the 3 nights a week come to £24 and the holidays it will be £72 a week.
the question is how do i work this out for the child care costs?
someone i work with told me she works out how many weeks she requires during school term and then how many for the holidays adds the costs together and then divides it by 52 to work out how much it would average out at for the year.
Is this the correct way? this way would mean during term i would have to put money aside for the childcare for the holidays.
can anyone who is in a similar position please advise what they do, i really dont want to phone the tax credits until i have a rough idea as i have had bad experience of under trained staff on the phone!

yes you just average it out over the year0

Oh and also remember its only 80% that they pay0

I average out over the year too but you may be wise if you dont have much surplace each week to put a little aside for the holiday weeks so it doesnt bite so hard especially during the six weeks holidays :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
