Well I have been to work, dog walked, bought some cloudly lemonade and now I am home. Recieved a voucher for Argos and I stupidly went online looking for a bike (one of my goals this year, my last one got trashed by my lil bro) and have fell in love with one... But its £250/£220 in the sale  I think I had better fall out of love with it super fast... :rotfl:

Sally - That's pants - so when they stopped the JSA did the tax credits go up? Are you eligible for income support whilst not claiming the JSA?

Income support can now only be claimed by single parents. Tax credits are supposed to do the job now. The whole benefits system is a shambles.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

What sort of bike are you looking for Pap? Have a look on ebay for one maybe or freecycle? That way you could set yourself a target for savings but still start exercising?

We were told to apply for it and were turned down because we had £9 a month too much coming in. I did it over the phone and didn't get told that.....ruddy silly systems.

And Pap - you really should get yourself on facebook - I know you didn't want to register under your own name but you could always register with your MSE name and still be in contact with us all :D

Pooky I have always had mountain/dual suspension bikes but ideally I want a trekking/single suspension bike or a ladies town. The problem is I am so short I have always had childrens bikes :o So I really need to go to a shop and test some out. I am quite fortunate as I have an independent bike shop quite close to me who used to service my old bike that do a huge range, plus they can order in :D

Ohhh I am still saving yet Pooky, I will not buy one and get into debt. Now I am semi running and I have my dvd's I am in no rush. I want to save approx £200 for one. I know thats a lot of money but I want it to last at least 5-10 years. I still have a look on ebay though, just because ;)

It's only changed very recently Pooky, before then you could get it for reasons of disability, but it's ESA now.
