Good to hear your story, and a well written story at that, I am glad that you have got things out in the open and I hope everything goes well for the 2 of you with sorting everything out. ( I will admit to a lump in the throat and moist eyes after reading it)0

Another one here that was part of the original thread.
I recall you panic at Mrs J finding out and as time grew closer to you telling her the full facts you disappeared and left us all wondering how things had gone on ..
I am so glad that you made your return with that positive and moving thread and I for one wish you all the best in finally getting things sorted.
Just one futher comment I know IP's charge for there service but it is one you got through the free charities such as payplan isn't it not a Debt managment company that charges there fees on top of IP's fees so that hardly ever paying off any of the debt????
Good Luck

Thanks to all who wished us well.
Now, we are going away next week for a little break in the country at a friend's house, then coming back to have a meeting with the insolvency practitioner on the Monday of the following week.
In the meantime I am wiondering what I should do.
I have a few cards need paying before then.
Should I call them and say that I cannot afford a payment this month and that I shall contact them later?
Or should I keep the repayments going, even though it is very hard financially at the moment?0 -
Dear Justindebt,
Well what can I say? For those of us that read your original thread all that time ago - we was wondering how you had got on. I am so pleased that you were finally able to come clean to Mrs J even though it was not intentionalbut about blo*dy time!! hehe
The way you wrote your post on this thread is very heart warming and lump in throat causing. So now instead of :wall: you can now :cheesy: as you have your lovely wife and you can tackle this together.
Stay in touch as we would love to hear your progress.
I am not sure about whether or nott you should pay your cards. You could maybe phone them and explain you are seeing an Insolvency blokey in a week or so but dont qoute me on that as others will be able to give you better advice.

Hi, Bluezone.
Is it a good idea to let the cc companies that I am going to seek a way out before actually setting the wheels in motion?0 -
Justindebt, your post brought tears to my eyes, I really do feel for you. I am so happy your wife has stood by you, you have a good woman there who must love you very much!
Please keep us posted on what happens, and maybe show your wife this site, I am sure it would be a great help to her emotionally to know there are people who can help/understand.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 126 :j

Thankyou for your very moving post. I have thought from time to time about your original thread (I remember reading it before I even registered) and wondered what happened, I've only just come across this update though, doh!
Well done for coming clean and thank you again for posting about it, hopefully people reading your story might be inspired to take the plunge with their own problems.
