Plumbs curtain shop

Hi,
We're moving into our first home in the next few weeks and we'll need to get some curtains. We've got quite a large patio door from the living room into the conservatory that needs to be covered, approx 122" across.
Most companies I've seen tend to do a maximum of 90" wide curtains, Plumbs curtain shop do up to 127" and for the curtain we want it's coming in as £150. They are at http://www.plumbscurtainshop.co.uk/index.html
Does anyone have any experience of this company, are they any good or can anyone suggest any other companies we could use?
We've ordered free samples so we'll be able to see what they look like. Our master bedroom window is an irregular size too which is annoying .
We can't really afford to spend too much now that the stamp duty is back so we need to get something affordable (we'll be leaving the other 2 bedrooms curtainless until we can afford them, hopefully that won't be long as it won't do much for the heating bill....)

plumbs is a well known and well established uk company. (preston).
however they tend to be a wee bit expensive.
also try others such as dunelm mill.

5 years ago my mum wanted some curtains sewn. Our dry cleaner will sew them, but wanted 50p an inch. Aparrently hems are double stiched so that was £1 an inch of material, so it never got done and ready made curtains were used.0

one of my nieghbour has reccomended thise to me http://www.247curtains.co.uk/
just to add , i ordered a sample of curtain fabric at 4-00pm yeasterday , and it has just arrived this morning0 -
Sorry to resurect an old thread but I'm considering buying from 247curtains as some swatches arrived this morning that I like the look of.
The problem which is holding me back is that they get quite poor reviews if you google them. To be fair there's not pages and pages of complaints but still enough to make me a little wary.
Nickj - did you go ahead and order from them? If so then were you pleased?
Many thanks,
S0 -
After a considerable delay, we're finally ready to move into our house this Friday so I'll be looking at the curtains again after that. Still planning to go with Plumbs unless I see something better in the meantime.0

There is another option if you are handy with either iron hemming or a needle and thread..... two exact same pairs sewn together on the seam. Really isn't noticeable and works a treatFeb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

I was about to click 'buy' from 247curtains and googled them at the last minute to check any reviews. I only found a couple of negative reviews but I'm a bit wary too. However, the curtains I was quoted for locally would cost almost £2000  so I might just have to take a punt on 247curtains at £600 instead.... unless anyone advises me differently very soon!0

Would second this - buy two ready-made pairs and stitch them together - I've done it and it looked great!0 -
