Good experience with NPower

First bill arrived, and was completely wrong. They had my 'customer supplied' meter readings correct, but they had not used the correct start meter readings and as a consequence the bill was wildly inaccurate.

Bracing myself for a telephone call full of negotiation, persuasion and perhaps anger, I called their customer support line (pleasantly surprised to find this was an 0800 number!) and got through to a human being straight away - at the busy 5.30 pm timeslot. Brilliant. Couldn't have been more helpful, apologised for their mistake and issued a correct bill there and then. Didn't try to force my hand to up my direct debits (I did up them anyway, to save on a high future bill). Brilliant service.

Just thought I would buck the trend of complaints about NPower. :j
Self confessed nerd when it comes to anything financial and/or numerical!

Nice to hear some good feedback about any of the suppliers.

So many people post about problems etc. but never think to post about good experiences.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

You realise, of course, that countless moneysavers would not be happy and would be enraged and disgusted by nPower's monstrous presumption in only providing a Freephone number. They would be demanding a number with a standard regional prefix whilst muttering about the War under their breath. How dare they exclude those without landlines or who are too disabled to walk to a phone box. :)

I had someone demand that I phone them back after they called me. I then asked if they were with BT they said yes so I advised the its a free call from BT home Phone.

They hung up and complained about me in writing :|.
