    Don't panic!

    My main suggestion for this early is start saving ... glenstan 's suggestion of telling her there will be less money than there actually is, is a great idea. You really do tend to live to the max of your budget so 'the more money she thinks she has the more she will spend' kind of thing. With uni time it is good to have some emergancy money to be able to help her out, such a car breakdowns etc.

    Not sure of any specific sites for parents but as people have already mentioned the alternative prospectus can be very useful, and people on here are always willing to lend a hand.
