What does a garage charge for a call out to change a wheel on a Saturday.

Thanks,

  • How long is a piece of string? All depends on the company you use. And the type of tyre.
  • New or Part worn ?
I got a Part worn for 15 quid fully fitted yesterday !
just to pass the MOT !

Depends on the garage, and often on the size of the tyre - i.e the bigger the rim, the bigger the cost.
Dogs have owners...my cat has slaves...

Why dont you change the wheel yourself, then take the old one to a garage to change the tyre. (bear in mind, if its badly worn, the corresponding one may need changing too)

I would think if you were actually going to call them out, there would be a call out charge as well as the tyre.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

My local garage charged £40 to come out and change my punctured wheel/tyre and put the spare on.

I had assumed that it was to change the tyre on the rim. But you raise a good point.
