Re-Synaptic pointing device

Hi, I have noticed that my icon on synaptic pointing device changes colour when touchpad is used. Blue in corner and green in middle. Never noticed it before. Can anyone explain the reason? It,s on bottom right bar.

Because the different zones of the pad are configurable, so it can be handy to know when you're touching a specific zone. Check the control panel options.0
