Repairing picture holes when moving?

Someone has told me that on moving house you must remove picture hooks and fill in (presumably paint over as well) OR leave the picture or whatever behind! Is this true? Thanks.

We bought our house with picture hooks, no probs! Either used them or filled over and repainted in our new colour

in think if removing the hooks causes a massive hole/ damage to the plaster its reasonable to expect it t be made good but a tiny nail hole shouldn't be a prob. You'd only have to leave the picture if they were specified in the list the solicitor sends you asking what's includedPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Depends really, I rent a house out to a couple and when they moved in the house walls were mint, freshly painted. When they move out it will have to be repainted (and this paid for by them, in contract) Long term tennants 12 months renewable.
PS, Im stalking you now. :rotfl:0 -
HI
