You MUST act quickly to deal with this ...
In the Small Claims process, you would have been sent a Claim Form from the Claimant via the Court. You would then have had the opportunity to either pay or file a Defence to dispute the Claim.
After 14 days, if you have not filed a defence, the Claimant can apply for a Judgment in Default. Then he can order the Baliffs in. It sounds like this is what has happened here.
If you did not get paperwork from the Court, you can apply for the Default Judgment to be Set Aside, if you can show you have a reasonable chance of successfully defending the original claim.
You need to fill in the form N244 (I think ...) and file it with the Court.
Really, you MUST take advice on this matter, and act QUICKLY.0
