Small business opportuntity
I have a piece of land that would lend itself really well to someone who wants to begin a small gardening business ie hanging baskets, herbs, farmers produce etc and am wondering where the best place would be to advertise.
The plot is on a busy rural road and has direct road frontage with a car park. The road is also the place where people come to ' garden' shop from the towns as there is already a few garden centres here ( but they are really pricy )
I tried selling hanging baskets myself for a couple of days last year and sold a few but I don't have the time to really spend all day doing it and marketing it properly.
Do you think this sort of thing would interest anyone and if so where could I offer the plot.
Thankyou.

Almost certainly, not only with access, which would need Council Highways Dept to look at it, but possibly with the change in use of the land and the erection of buildings/polytunnels on it.
It might be a great place, but once you invite the public in, that opens up another can of worms, which is why my insurance covers public liability and costs more.
There are certainly small nurseries which have nowhere to sell from and that might jump at the chance. You could find these by asking around at a large plant fair in your area. Plant fairs happen from late April onwards. However, you would need to have the legal side worked out, not only for their peace of mind to invest safely, but to protect yourself as landlord.0
