Moving Suppliers
Just need a bit of info, do you need an online bank account to manage your gas and elec online and if not how dose it work as some say account must be managed online. I get paperless billing from bt and view online, but dont have to do anything else as they just change my direct debit. Any info would be much appreaciated

Online gas or elec is like BT, no need to online banking that I am aware of.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

No it'll be just like BT and you'll be able to setup a DD to your non-online bank account just like anything else, be sure to check cashback sites to get some free money when you switch.0

been having a look at the cashback sites, is any better than others. Can i stay with same supplier but get a different deal. Is it worth giving my present supplier a call0

I was with Npower and got cashback switching from one deal with them to another with them, you can call your supplier to arrange switching if you want to do it that way. Do you know which tariff you are going to ask to switch to based on comparison sites? if you call them up directly naturally you won't get the cashback.0

On standard with scottish hydro electric, thinking about go direct 3 with them. It says i can take readings and make payments online. Not sure about the payments, would rather they just change my dd like bt do0
