Polycell Textured Ceilings Course Finish

Anyone had any experience of this?

We've removed a LOT of polystyrene in 2 bedrooms, the glue has come off better in one than the other, there's a few cracks, but nothing major.

How much evil will this stuff cover?

Also it's white and it says it resists yellowing, so do I have to bother painting it if I only want a white ceiling?

Thanks

The best way to remove the adhesive with polystyrene tiles is a wallpaper steam stripper.heats the glue and softens it so that you can scrape it off easily. The textured stuff will cover cracks etc but I have found that dust etc sticks to it and it can look a bit grubby after a few years. If you want a smooth finish try Polycell Base coat.It is thick white paint which will cover cracks etc..it really does work well.Had a very crazed bathroom wall (loads of cracks etc) I filled any indentations with polycell fine surface filler, rub down with fine sandpaper and then cover with one coat of the basecoat. Then paint with normal emulsion...gives a great finish.
