Citroen Hire Purchase return problem
Hi!
I was wondering if anyone could help. I had a citroen c1 on hire purchase which was returned to them after 2 years in November. It was inspected by Manheim, and at the time they claimed that the drivers door was a different silver to the rest of the car. I disagreed with the report and this was noted. I then received an invoice from Citroen for £166 (which included hub caps) for the damage, I wrote to them and said that I would pay for the hub caps but disagreed with the repainting of the door, to which they said they would investigate.
I received a letter last night that said they had looked into the matter and I still had to pay for the car door. I have looked at the photos and you can see no difference in colour, and more to the point, I have not had the car door resprayed, and it was brand new when i got it.
What is the best way to move forward with this? Does anyone have an similar experiences? Do you think I am best just paying the money - although it is the principal that is making me argue it.
Thanks!
