Fake Front Door - Advice Please

Hi guys
My partner and I have recently bought a Victorian semi that we're slowly doing up. In our front room there is, what was at one time the front door. From the outside of the house it looks like a fully functioning door, however from the inside it looks just like a window - the lower part of the door has been plaster boarded over at some point.
Removing the plaster board shouldnt be too much of a problem but my query is how easy is it to put the door jams etc back in? The top half of the door has glass panels, hinges, door jams etc around it but someone has put a piece of wood across the door about halfway up so that it looks like a window with a window sill. The plaster board is quite thin underneath the "window sill" so it doesnt look like the door jams are still in existence.
Any help would be great and if anyone else has had previous experience of this, that would be good too!

looking from outside is the frame complete
does the door open inwards
if so i would say the jambs will still be intact0 -
From outside the door is complete but inside there's no jams below the "window sill" and the door doesnt open.0
