I have microsoft office 2003 student edition which up until tonight has been working fine. I bought a new laptop in november - upgraded it to windows 7 without problem, and installed my office 2003 on there. the laptop had a trial of office 2007 but ive never bothered with that,
I have just tried to open an excel spreadsheet tonight, only to be asked for the product code for the 2007 office? ive tried "open with" and searching for the 2003 edition but can't find it, yet when i search programmes by clicking on the microsoft button and all programmes its there. the 2003 product key isnt acceptable to the 2007 programme, and it says i can only open it 16 more times before it wont work any more?
What do i need to do please to get it working as before? i'm pretty frantic as ive got a huge assignment due in at weekend!
ive got windows 7, avira,
Thanks

Perhaps you need to un-install the trial version of Office as that may be overriding your old versionWe all evolve - get on with it0

Search and open Excel 2003 , then locate the document, this should be ok.
Remove the trial 2007. The associations are listed to 2007 I think. The file associations should revert to 2003. Manually change in Control Panel if needed.0 -
Thank you so much!!!!! ive got my file working properly. You have no idea how much you have helped me.0
