what are my options

I have been self employed since 2004 with a fairly good credit score (900 from experian). I would like to know my chances of getting approved for credit card or loan based on my employment status - or which lenders should i be approaching

Thanks

No reason to be refused just because you're self-employed.

There are a load of other factors involved (see the guide under "Credit Ratings" at the top of the forum) like your disposable income, which is one of the things your Experian made-up-number doesn't include.

If in doubt, apply for one with your own bank where you can appeal any decline and where they've got at least a bit of background info on how you've operated your account with them.

Indeed, and no reason to be accepted because you use Experian or any of the other scam 'agencies'.

You'll know yourself (get a pen and paper) if people will want to give you credit. If unsure then apply for some.
