easyjet stansted cancelled flights

easyjet are cancelling flights at very short notice at the moment, both arriving at stansted and departing
5 flights arriving at stansted on saturday were cancelled that i noticed, again more on sunday, and more again today,
its worth checking email accounts often before you are going away, and again whilst abroad to find out if they have scrubbed your flight
apparently its because of operational reasons whatever that means, but only getting 48 hours notice of a cancelled flight is naughty and you could remain oblivious of such changes if you dont check your booking email account

There was something about this in the paper on the weekend. Basically EasyJet are fast losing cabin crew and are now desperately understaffed in Stansted, Luton, Gatwick and Bristol, hence the delayed/cancelled flights.
Personally I wouldn't have chosen them if I had known this the week before when booking flights to Croatia, but it's done now... They are of course obliged to compensate passengers for cancelled flights [I think???].If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.0 -
Thanks for the above info , had no idea this was happening.
I am a little worried as when I checked our flights (as if we were purchasing flights) it showed our Sunday flight but no flights on Tuesday . We are due to fly back on Tues.
Should I be worried or is it they have sold all the seats on the return flight ???
I tried their call centre and just got a voice telling me press this number for that and press another number for this and then it went dead .......PANIC0 -
Hi Guys,
I`m flying from Luton on Monday to Budapest and i`ve just received an email from Easyjet that my "coming back flight" has been cancelled.
First i was panicking that my "flying out" date has to be changed( i have a wedding to go to)
I just had to go on their website and amend my flight details,i could choose a next day flight, which is fine with me.
I`m glad they let me know well before my flight:p ..but one thing is sure i will check my mails regularly before Monday...I don`t want any surprises!!!!
No bad feelings with EasyJet:cool:0 -
Rita Beanie you have given me some hope as my flight is on Sunday , so womans logic suggests if they have ammended your flight return after Monday , perhaps we are not affected ???0
