You may struggle to get that kind of money been a student and with the way the finance world is at the min. All I would say and IVE BEEN THERE, dont use loan companies you find on the interent wanting up front fees of £50 etc, you will never ever see the money0

Yeah, I am struggling. I'm trying to get a new computer. I'm a further education student and don't get any sort of government funding. Would I be better off getting a credit card?0
-
Is it just the computer you need? If so, some pc retailers do finance (buy now, pay later etc). Must be some computer for £2000!!!!!0

Yeah I'm tryingto get an Apple Imac, was going to do it on finance but they said I need to be working 16hours a week. I'm trying to get a job anyway but just wondered if I could get a loan or credit card that is based on income rather than employment?0

Top of the range Imac by the sounds of it!
Have you tried your bank?0 -
try moneysupermarket.com and click on credit cards, see if any on there will meet your needs or if your own circumstances allow you to apply for one of their cards. You could try curries or commet, go in store explain how you get your income and take in a bank statement showing the money you get going into your account.0

I haven't tried my bank, do you think they'd do it?0
-
Depends how long you've been with them and how well you've managed your accounts etc.0
-
I've been with them for about 10 years, I had a £400 overdraft for about a year but that's all paid off0
-
Might be worth going in and talking to them.0
