Cheapest ticket Doncaster to Clapham Court?
Hey. I'm going to a Ben and Jerry's music festival on 30th july at Clapham Common, London.
The cheapest I've found tickets is by having 2 single tickets - £30 in total.
That included train to kings cross, then tube to london victoria I think, then bus to clapham High Street.
Can anyone beat that? It's for 2 people. Mabye I could use the £5 code that's floating about?
We need to leave as early as possible, concert starts at 12. And it finishes at 8 so train about 9??

If you use the train fairly regularly it may work out cheaper in the long run to buy a family pass or something similar. I have been searching like mad to reduce the cost of a return train journey that was going to cost £165 return for 2 adults, 1 child and 2 infants. I had no luck, all sites were charging the same. However i bought a family rail pass that is valid for a year, it only cost £20 and is valid for up to 4 adult and 4 children (they don't have to be related). In the end it cost me £118 and that included the cost of the pass. I think it is 1/3 discount for adults and 60% off for children. Any of the train booking sites have details.

I hardly ever use the train, though. And there are just 2 adults going to the festival, and I think the family railcard has to be used with at least one child?
Don't fancy babysitting all day lol.0 -
Sorry i didn't realise Clapham Court was in Yorkshire. I thought it must have been near Clapham down South!!! geography has never been my strong point.

Nope, can't beat the £15 singles. The bus from Victoria to Clapham High Street is a replacement bus service where a train between these two destinations would operate - but of course due to engineering works this is replaced by a bus service. It may be quicker - though would cost extra - to take the tube (Northern Line) direct from Kings Cross to Clapham Common.sorry no links in signatures by site rules - Forum Team 20 -
Have you tried looking at the Hull trains a privaltly owned company, I know they stop at Doncaster. If you can pre book you can get some cheap deals.

Thanks for the tip but the prices are more expensive on there!
Mabye I should get 2 singles - Doncaster to Kings Cross (Just over £20 I think?) and then get a tube ticket to clapham common? Would it work out cheaper than £30? You can get unlimited travel for £6 can't you?

A 1 day off peak travelcard £4:90, provides unlimited travel in zones 1-2 and covers your journey from Kings X - Clapham by bus, train or tube.

When I search for Kings cross it comes up with 4 matches - London Kings cross, Kings Cross Thameslink, and Kings Cross Underground..
Which one do I need for the train to London?0 -
Also do all the train ticket companies have the same amount of tickets for each price level? Just wondering, I've only been using thetrainline.com and cheapest I get is £54 for 2 tickets to kings cross..0
