Yup, strange but true toilet seat, our new toilet hasn't come with one (we knew this) so ideally want one recommended, model name/seller etc would be great!
Ideally soft close.......... What do you recommend?!
Thanks very much in advance!

Ikea sell toilet seats with fixings which hold them really securely in place. I can recommend them.0

Had our en-suite refitted last year & the toilet had a soft close option - so I took it! They're brilliant (specially when OH is shuffling round at 3am) I'd like to get another one for downstairs but can't find one thats fits
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Cheers snuff, was yours reasonable? soft-close? comfy?0

Do you know where yours came from Silva?0

our new toilet hasn't come with one
Would be easier , if it had. Did you have the option.?0 -
Yes WB but it was £40 and thought I could get better for cheaper!0

We got a nice soft close one for our daughter's toilet at B&Q, was about £25-30 I think.
Seats come in different shapes, so take a template of the top of your toilet pan with you. Her's was particularly deep back to front, so not all were suitable.0 -
Thanks Jennifernil! I've been told it's a standard size, it's the Savoy slimline CC toilet as seen here:

I would always recomend this one -

it is slightly more than the cheapest toilet seats at argos but it has lasted longer than any of the previous ones we bought and unlike the other ones ( both cheaper and more expensive ) it has stayed secure since we bought it and pretty telling it is the only toilet seat on argos with a 5* rating
it is not a soft close but I can put up with occasional noise much more than the whole flippin seat flying off and dumping me on the floor when I sit on it which happened with the last one!0 -
Thanks for the recomendation! THey actually do that seat with soft close too for a tenner more which has had 93 very good feedback! Many thanks
