The DSI is region coded. I believe this will only affect DSi specific games. Original DS games should work.

The DS cartridges are region free.
The DSI only cartridges and DISware games will be/are region locked.
You can use a UK power adaptor without worry.
The only benefit of the XL is that it's larger. If you want more game variety and a better battery life, go with the DS Lite.0 -

If you want better battery life get the DSi XL as it has a much better battery life, presumably they can fit a bigger battery in.
As 99,9% of DS games work on the DSi how do you get more game variety with a DS Lite? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
You can get 2000mAh extended battery packs for the DSi from eBay for about £5, works a treat with mine, much more play time.0
