panny dect's are dead

i want an expert opinion if anybody has one.had the 2 fones for 6 years and this afto while i was talking to somebody it went dead-no ringtone no nothing.the signal indicator??? on the left hand side of the display is flashing constantly.tried different wall sockets in case there was an electric prob but still the same.my dad said maybe the fuse has gone in the plug but it's a sealed unit and i'm having to cope with a borrowed corded fone.weird thing is i've been after a new set of panny's and one that i did see a few weeks ago on the Tesco site sold out and they haven't had anymore in yet-they inform me by email.d'ya reckon this set i've got is well and truely ermmmm broken?

So the phones are still on? Do they charge when docked? As I see it, they don't connect to the base. If they charge sitting on the base, then sounds like they're well and truly conked.

they were on yes and fully charged.had to unplug them tho cos i had to plug the corded fone in
