Not sure I should be celebrating the independence of a former colony:D
I've got enough American cookbooks to come up with something though. It's got to be cheap, fit in with Weight Watchers No Count and be made out of what I have in my cupboards,oh and be egg and nut free:rolleyes:
Brownies are definitely out:(

Special meal here is actually eating out as it's my birthday. We are going out to a Pizza place in Elgin brandishing 2 x £5 discount vouchers from the local paper. Not good money-saving but OH and I usually go out for an expensive meal (£80) on my birthday. Instead we are taking the children too (5 of them) and hopefully it will be under £50.0

Well happy Independence Day for all who want to celebrate - for those that don't, happy day anyway.
Yep it is an American thing - had a great time over there a few years ago.

Are we Brits so limited in our thinking that we cannot at least say (hope you have a good time) - or have a good holiday?
