BISF Houses

How bad are these to buy? I know they are cheaper and only certain places will give mortgages on them? Is the interest rate higher? Are they hard to resell?

My experience with selling these types of houses is that generally they tend to be 5-10% cheaper than similar size properties in local area. There are certain lenders that do not lend on them, for example GMAC, however I have never heard of the interest rate being any higher than tradtional brick built properties.
They can sometimes be harder to sell but price should reflect this and people do buy them because they are often a lot cheaper than comparable properties.

    Hope this helps!
My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)

If i have the right end of the stick, they're Britsh Iron and Steel Federation houses.

They seem to be steel frames, often with metal cladding on the outside.

All i did was google BISF.

Never seen any houses like the pics i found, mind
