Help New Epson Printer software problems

Options
Hello, purchased new Epson SX515W Printer 2 wks ago and had problems ever since:mad:
The software was a nightmare to get loaded, but finally when it did and ready to use the printer this happens: Go to file>Print> then any of the boxes that open in the <Properties> box are PART MISSING!, which means can only access SOME of the functions.
Has anyone ever experienced similar problem? or know how to fix this? Epson have got me to try uninstall/reinstall and >Start>Run>MSCONFIG and untick all boxes to see which program is stopping this from working properly. But found that it is not my other programmes causing the problem. Help please:)

What Operating System you running on the PC. if its Vista and windows 7 did you turn off UAC >User Access Control. or run the SETUP as ADMIN.
never had trouble with epson drivers before.
  • Operating system is Windows XP service pack 3. Used Administrator option to install.
Previously had another Epson Printer installed & with that had no problems. First install of new printer froze PC. Rebooted & removed the old printer software + programs etc. Then tried reinstall of SX515w this all went ok, except the problem as described with the <Properties> boxes:mad:. Followed Epson advice & uninstalled all;reinstalled all, but still had the problem:mad:. Have you got any ideas? Any help appreciated. Thanks:)

Have you gone to epsons website and downloaded NEW drivers, could be the ones on the cd maybe older that required. unlikely, but never know.
Have you run any registry cleaning software ??
maybe a permission in the registry got altered.

I had trouble with a graphics driver not being installed. turned out to be a permission in the registry, use the following page and followed the instructions.
