Suspended from work

Well - in such a verbally aggressive environment as OP clearly works in - then either:
- both sides can swear
OR
- neither side can swear
As managers can swear - then clearly so can workers. It cuts both ways.
I was suspendended because statements were taken - my statement wasn't though !
This is because of a vindictive manager who has been slagging off the main boss, and our other boss and all the colleagues and been very unprofessional - who knows I have this proof.
I made this clear, that if any proof was required - I will show it .0 -
Nowhere does it state the manager swore. It states he was loud and belittling. Some people think this is how to get respect. Whether you agree or not doesnt make it acceptable to swear and storm out.
If the OP doesnt like the management technique or culture then leave, but, it doesnt make it acceptable for them to storm out whilst being paid and start swearing.
That said any discliplinary is likely to be extremely light due to the circumstances.
OP this is entirely normal. Your chance to speak is at the discliplinary if one happens.
At the end of the day if you want make a grievance against the manager but companies rarely like people who fight allegations and their own misconduct by trying to defend it with other peoples actions.
If you have proof make the grievances but dont think this makes you innocent, it may act as mitigation but nothing else.0 -

The manager didnt swear at me at the meeting. Just screamed and yelled.
The swearing is done on the floor.
I dont want to cause trouble - but they stress me out and I was heavily provoked into swearing.
But I should have been asked to give a statement - and the problem is the manager, is causing trouble within the whole office and is nice when you are nice but when you question your job, purpose.. gets nasty.0 -
So basically your manager is nice when your doing what you should do but not nice when your not and wasting his and your time asking questions that by your own statement he cant answer or are dictated to him.
And as said the time for your side is at any discliplinary. They need to suitably investigate by law before they can speak to you.0 -

The manager was bright red in the face and flustered - and completely out of control.
They were annoyed about events that had transpired that morning that they weren't there to witness and indignant when they realised they were in the wrong.
They wont like 'things' coming out, as much as I wont like 'bringing them out', however, I have been shafted in all of this0 -
Make notes of everything which has happened and which happens from now on.
As people have said, state your case at any resulting disciplinary.
Most companies have a formal written procedure for disciplinary - read and understand it.
Most companies have a formal grievance procedure (for investigation of employee complaints) Use it is you feel the outcome is unfair. Tribunals don't look favourably on unfair dismissal claims if the employee has not exhausted all in-house procedures first.
Good luck!0 -

I will do, however, I will not be given any chance to be treated unfairly again!
I thought I would write a letter stating:
Thanks for your letter, however, I am concerned that because I wasn't asked for my statement of events, that I have been unfairly suspended.
I appreciate it is pending investigation, however, I presumed any investigation would involve all parties.0 -
It does.
A company always suspends when investigating if its of a serious nature
Tbh Moaning about being suspended is a waste of time.0 -

I fail to see how they can investigate without taking statements from all parties.0 -
