Stone Look Render

I’m thinking about having the external walls of my bungalow rendered, they are dark red bricks which look awful and contrast badly with the smooth rendered extension.
When I visited the US a few years ago I saw a type of wall render that resembles natural stonework, it looked just like the real thing, you had to look very closely to realise it wasn’t, obviously a lot of skill required to achieve the finish.
I haven’t seen this type of stone look rendering in the UK, does anyone know if there are any professional firms out there that specialise in this type of rendering?

The skill is in the initial rendering, the "stamping" is a doddle.David_Norris wrote: »I’m thinking about having the external walls of my bungalow rendered, they are dark red bricks which look awful and contrast badly with the smooth rendered extension.

Hi Plasterer, couldn't open your link, what I found remarkable was the irregular and natural looking stone shapes together with the varied colouring of the finish, also with perfect grouting.
This is not like stamping concrete on a driveway or garden path, which I agree is a doddle.0 -

Thank you for your help Plasterer, I did a search on google and found this company who are the distributors and training providers in the UK for the product you mentioned. This is exactly what I was looking for and pretty sure that this was the same type of render I saw in the US.

There is quite a few installers listed on the website in my area so will ring around to get the best price.
