I downloaded Internet Explorer 8 last year, but found it wouldn't work with my HP printer, no updates were available, so unistalled it, the other day HP updated with an IE compatibility?, would this mean it now would work with IE8? I try not to use IE7, as every now and then multiple windows keep opening up, and I have to shut down laptop, then run Superantispyware which just finds the usual stuff, this seems to fix it till next time, have run Avast, Malware etc.. and nothing?

Give the update a try, difficult to say without having the printer.
Are you just wanting to print webpages? It's very unusual for a printer not to be able to do this. Do you have MS Word? You might be able to fix this by going to Word and enabling the Web toolbar. This way you can read webpages in Word before you print them.Marketing and web design guy. FIRE enthusiast.0
