Humberside/Lincs/Norfolk disabled beach access?

Can anyone offer the wisdom of their experiences please?
We normally go to a caravan park near Mablethorpe, and we know my husband (crutches/wheelchair) can access the beach so long as we stay near the ramps at the centre of town.
We're hoping to extend our repertoire before the kids start getting bored - we don't want/need endless amusements - we prefer the quieter places as it's easier to get around (and one of the kids is sound-sensitive, so noisy arcades nd the like aren't on our list of things to do anyway) - a traditional beach, ice cream stand and bucket&spade shop is all we need.
So can anyone recommend anywhere where there is good access onto the beaches, with a few cheap/reasonable attractions nearby - we were wondering at the Withernsea/Brid/Scarborough areas maybe (the boys are train mad so that opens up the NRM and North Yorks for dodgy weather days), but so long as there is a caravan site nearby we'll give anywhere a go.

Lots of places in Norfolk/suffolk fit the bill, Gorleston and Lowestoft spring to mind.
Gorleston has one of the nicest beaches in East Anglia
Hunstanton would also be ok. The Searles park is a lovely place to stay0 -
Cleethorpes has slopes/slipways down to the beach. There is one right by the pier and another where the small lifeboat goes from at the end of the promenade. Further along at Humberstone there is another slipway and a slope down onto the vast beach. This is accessable through Thorpe Park (think its Haven), it is usually a very clean beach its well away from the arcades and great to watch the kite buggies and kite surfers. Worst bit is no toilets.
There is a small railway in Cleethorpes. There is also a steam railway between Ludborough and North Thoresby http://www.lincolnshirewoldsrailway.co.uk/ though only open on set days. If you go on it I can certainly recommend the food at the New Inn pub at the Thoresby end of the track. Whilst the ticket office is at Ludborough (and the car park) they do let you get on at Thoresby and pay when you get to Ludborough.0 -
Thank you both - that's a few places to start looking into

We discovered the Wolds railway the other year - think we caught one of the last running days - but the boys loved the fact you could go into the signal box, so it's definitely on our list again. Didn't know about the Inn though, so thanks - it's the sort of thing we'd drop into on the last morning, so it's useful to know where to get good food before the drive home.

Great yarmouth also has access, its also near pleasurewood hills for the kids.
There is access at once place to the beach at Hunstanton, and I agree searles is very nice to stay at.Always on the hunt for a bargain0 -

Skegness has a short ramp to get to the beach lots of caravan sites around ingoldmellis area, very lively and busy in pleasurebeach and market area, Great yarmouth is good access the entire length of the beach but the beach is very wide before you get to the water Great Yarmouth also hires out beach wheelchairs from the tourist place they are totally great as you are so limited on the beach with a conventional one.http://www.great-yarmouth.co.uk/visitor-information/beach-wheelchairs.aspx
dont consider Hopton its a lovely park but access is down a steep cliff0 -
Filey near Scarborough has a ramp down to the beach at the far end near the small amusement place0

Anderby Creek in Lincolnshire has a caravan site and holiday chalets nearby and is a lovely, minimal tourism beach.0

Hmm, we've just bought a static caravan on the Norfolk coast which might fit the bill - like 2 yards from the beach, nice views, near Great Yarmouth (with its 2 piers and Pleasure Beach for the kids) and near the Norfolk Broads for sailing and wildlife. Trouble is, board rules forbid me from telling you the webiste address.0
