    Did you not incur any costs in dealing with the whole matter?

    I would have thought that something could be recovered from the solicitors because of their apparent negligence.

    Just a handful of letters and phone calls, so no more than twenty pounds maybe.

    I was repaid in full the money I had paid, the court fee and interest up to the date of payment so there was no shortfall.

    Thanks all. I have just had a letter from the solicitors (after nearly three months) saying that they will shortly be making a full response to my complaint, so I will see what that contains. Then I suppose the next step would be the LCS.

    When I made the initial complaint I was anticipating a shortfall and was seeking financial recompense. Now that I have been paid it all feels a bit nebulous - hence this thread.
