Shop Direct/ Littlewoods are chasing up £172 from me - this has now gone to the Lowell group.
The reason this balance has occurred is due to their own mistake, I bought a pair of trainers and a t-shirt in May 2008 a total balance of about £45 I then called them and gave them my details to set up the weekly payments. They didn't do it and started adding charges etc in December 2008 after arguing with them they brought the balance back down to what it should have been, again I wrote to them this time filling out a Direct Debit form, and guess what yet again they didn't set it up.
I have now been arguing with them since they have continued adding charges etc and they have now passed the account on.
I'm so tired of it!
But one thing I am confused with is that I haven't actually paid them a penny becuase each time I have given my details they have never used them and taken any payments?
They have continued to refuse to reduce the balance again.
As they haven't taken a penny off me I don't really think I can make a claim can I but how do I make this more serious and get them to listen??
Thanks - sorry long winded

First, I think you should pay them what you owe, as you have the goods. You don't really have any proof that they have caused the problem of non payment.
You can then start to challenge the charges on that account, by adapting the templates on here. Mostly, those charges can be reclaimed.
Do a search under catalogue/ littlewoods for other threads and information on how to proceed. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.0
