Sadly not much. Although if you catch the Judge in a bad mood, they are often quite happy to make awards to take into account the hassle.
OP - did you buy as a consumer? If so, the T's and C's are likely to be challengable in any event.0 -
I would write back to them asking them to send you the signed copy of the contract where it stated that there would be this extra charge.
I would also ask them for the exact extra amount they supposedly gave you.

As pinkshoes says.. A letter like this before action should put them on the spot - it should look bad for them if they don't produce this and then go ahead with a court case and ambush you with the info later.
