Grants for Cavity Wall Insulation

Hiya
About 18 months ago I applied to Warmfront for a grant for any energy saving measures. I am in receipt of qualifying benefits and am a private tenant. They came and did some draughtproofing but I chose not to have loft insulation as I am on my own and could not have emptied the loft myself. I was told I couldn't have cavity wall insulation without having the loft done too. No idea if this is correct.
Fast forward to now and I am wondering whether I can just have cavity wall insulation done. I searched on Google for free insulation and the first website seems to suggest I qualify for it. But I have no idea how many different companies now offer this and how professional they all are. I tried to ring the Energy Saving Trust but it was a case of leave a message and we'll get back to you within 3 days.
If anyone can shed any light on the whole process, I would be most grateful.
Kind Regards
Abigail

Start with your own utility companies, they all offer subsidised insulation. It should be perfectly possible to do one without the other. No free lunch, and no free laptop
