                    I recently made rice crispy cakes, with the just bog standard rice crispys (tesco own brand) and chocolate (again tesco own brand)
There was something missing, although, I am not sure what
I have searched on the t'interweb, and on MSE, and I am no further forward to find the perfect recipe
So now I ask what does the perfect rice crispy cake recipe include ??
Chocolate ?
Mars Bar ?
Marshmallow ?
Golden syrup ??
Or something else completely ??:o
And in what quantity are these perfect ingredients in ??;)
I look forward to hearing your take, on the perfect rice crispy cake

            I have syrup and butter in mine
  And I use dark chocolate, with plenty of cocoa solids
I'll add this to the exisitng thread on crispy cakes later.

            For, me, they are only perfect if it's Cadbury or Galaxy Choc!!0

            I am really interested in finding this out too. Nothing like sticky chewy crispy cakes, I can't find any attraction with the ones that are solid chocolate!It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice0

            contravesially I don't have chco at al in my crispie cakes - I like choc cornflake cakes but for me crispie cakes are crispies, marshmallows and butter.....People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

            Ok, i make alot of crispie cakes. here are the best 2 recipies.
For individual cakes;
55g butter
4 tbs syrup
100g milk choc
70g cornflakes/crispies
melt butter, syrup and choc in a bowl over hot water, mix in the crispies and put into cake cases.
For a traybake squares type;
125g marshmallows
125g butter
125g toffees (i use the golden pennies from the quality street tubs as we dont like toffees)
125g crispies
melt marshmallows, butter & toffees in a pan until all combined together, add in crispies then spread on to a tray or tin. When cool i melt some choc and spread it over the top. Then cut into squares.
I find it best not to add extra crispies cos we like em sticky and gooey and there is nothing worse than a half coated crispie cake!
