Hi again
My recipe for Salmon Loaf is
16oz Tin of salmon flaked with the skin and bones removed (as much as possible)
1 Cup Milk
2 eggs
2 small chopped onions, or to taste
1 cup of cracker crumbs (put in food processor until quite fine)
2 tsps Lemons juice
1 tspn Dill (optional)
a little salt/pepper
Beat eggs and milk together
Flake salmon
Combine all ingredients, place in a greased loaf tin med heat 180 / gas mark 4
for 1 hour, tune out and cool on a wire tray.
I usually heat a slice of it up under the grill or in one of those toaster bags and serve it with peas or beans,
Hope this helps x0 -
How about French toast/eggy bread. Mix eggs and milk together and put a slice of bread in the mix and turn it over, while doing this heat oil in a pan then fry bread on both sides and serve....delicious!!0

Also if you have lolly moulds you can make very nutritious lollies with fruit puree, pure fruit juice, yoghurt, milk etc all frozen.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

I decided to start feeding 13 month old the same as my three year old to save time and energy instead of making various different meals. My 3 year old's favourite is pasta with fish, I use wholewheat pasta throw some frozen veg in, once cooked I toss through a small can of mackerel in tomato sauce. I didn't think my little one would like this, but he does!!! This is very easy, fairly wholesome and not too much cooking.
Another favourite of both is what I have to call a 'pizza' to my 3 year old, but in fact it's a spanish tortilla, but he has a thing against eggs. I make a basic omelette and sprinkle it with various veg, whatever comes to hand sometimes I include small bits of chicken or bacon whatever might be in the fridge, my kids often end up with meals made from our leftovers! I finish this so called 'pizza' with a sprinkling of cheese zapped under the grill, chop it up to look like pizza triangles and this gets eggs into my son easily!!
I know OP was looking for no cook meals but the above 2 ideas are very simple, and only require one pan to make.....I can't be doing with a lot of washing up!0 -
I love this recipie - this is the third time I've posted it on various threads!Greek green beans (aka "Fasolakia Fresca")gently 'sweat' one large onion in 2tblsp olive oil in a large saucepan, add;500g green/runner beans, de-stringed and cut into large chunks1tblsp tomato puree1 can chopped tomatoessalt to tasteoregano if you've got it but not essentialwater to cover beansbring to boil and simmer for an hour or so. Hey presto! It feeds two grown up people with decent appetites and is delicious with crusty bread - it's also always tastier if left to stand over night - so is perfect for lunches made the night or week before! All the kids in our family (from 1yr up) ADORE this and get very mucky munching it! xOfficial Debt Free Wannabe Nerd Club member 095! Debt Now:

This sounds delicious and I've got a small can of salmon in the cupboard which I didn't know what to do with, tempted by a BOGOF.
Only a small can though, so I will have to padded it out, got some yellow split peas soaking as I type and I've be saving the crust ends of the bread in the freezer, so I'll use breadcrumbs instead of crackers.
Many thanks for your recipe, even though my attempt will not be the real mccoy, thanks for the inspiration!!
Edit: Just checked other ingredients, no onions - will have to used some spring onions.......no lemon juice - will have to use lime...........as for Dill??????? It'll still be in the same vain as Fairy22 recipe just without the right ingredients!!!0
